Job Description

Ivy Resource Group are working with a well-established contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Wolverhampton, working across a range of commercial projects including schools, hospitals, MOD bases, colleges, universities, and leisure centres.\n\nThe company:\n\nOur client is a construction company and family-owned business that has a passion for innovation and a drive for acheiving excellence. They have been in business for over 30 years and work across a variety of sectors, including: Commercial, Leisure, Education, Healthcare, Residential and Retail. \n\nThe Role:\n\nCommercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account\n\nPreparing, reviewing, and managing project budgets and cost plans\n\nProcurement and management of subcontractor packages\n\nValuations, variations, and final accounts administration\n\nEnsuring projects remain within budget while maintaining quality and programme targets\n\nLiaising with project teams, clients, and senior management on commercial matters\n\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on commercial projects\n\nStrong sector experience in education, healthcare, MOD, or leisure is advantageous\n\nExperience within Tier 1 or well-established main contractors is desirable\n\nStrong commercial awareness and negotiation skills\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities\n\nStable career history demonstrating long-term commitment\n\nSalary & Package\n\nSalary £70,000 - £80,000 per annum\n\nCar allowance\n\nPrivate Medical Insurance (PMI)\n\nCompetitive benefits package\n\n27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays\n\nCar leasing scheme via salary sacrifice\n\nDeath in Service (4x salary)\n\nCycle to Work scheme\n\nHealthcare Cash Plan\n\nPension (3% Employee / 5% Employer)\n\nHow to apply:\n\nPlease submit your CV and a member of our team will respond to you.
