Location: Central Belt (Bathgate base)

Salary: £70,000

£80,000 + car allowance

Contract Type: Full-time

Framework: High-volume NEC Option B projects

About the Role We are seeking a proactive and commercially-driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. This is a high-responsibility role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their workload, and is confident managing a large volume of projects simultaneously. You will lead on NEC Option B contracts, provide strong commercial governance, and act as a senior point of guidance for Assistant QS team members. The successful candidate will be someone with excellent judgement, strong organisational capability, and the ability to take control and steer the ship when required.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the commercial delivery of multiple NEC Option B projects simultaneously (ranging from £5k to £1m in value).

Oversee and drive high-volume frameworks, ensuring consistency and commercial rigour.

Provide mentorship, support, and day-to-day guidance to Assistant Quantity Surveyors.

Take full ownership of higher-value or more complex contracts within the portfolio.

Manage all QS duties including cost control, forecasting, reporting, valuations, variations, and contractual correspondence.

Ensure compliance with NEC processes, contract obligations, and internal governance.

Liaise closely with operational teams to provide clear commercial direction.

Maintain a proactive approach

following up, resolving issues efficiently, and going above and beyond to achieve project and commercial objectives.

Contribute to the development and standardisation of distribution templates and commercial processes.
