About the Role

We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure operation at Stanford-le-Hope. This is a permanent PAYE position, working on large-scale civils and infrastructure projects within a high-profile port environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in commercial management, cost control, and contractual administration across complex civils works.

Key Responsibilities

Full commercial management of civils projects from pre-contract through to final account

*

Cost planning, forecasting, and budget control

*

Procurement and management of subcontractors

*

Measurement, valuations, and change control

*

Preparation and agreement of variations and final accounts

*

Contract administration (NEC / JCT experience preferred)

*

Working closely with project managers, engineers, and operational teams

*

Reporting on cost, risk, and commercial performance to senior stakeholders

Project Experience Required

Strong civils background is essential, including experience in one or more of the following:

Roads & highways works

*

Ports & marine infrastructure

*

Water & drainage projects

*

Airports or large infrastructure schemes

Candidate Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on civils/infrastructure projects

*

Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

*

Excellent stakeholder and communication skills

*

Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a live operational environment

*

Degree qualified or equivalent (Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management)
