Our client, a leading construction specialist, is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team on an exciting £3-£3.5 million project located near Farringdon, London. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to a significant building repurposing, managing essential MEP elements and ensuring project success through the JCT form of contract.
The Role
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll:
Manage all commercial aspects of a £3-£3.5 million building repurposing project, focusing on the fit-out of floors and essential MEP installations.
Oversee a rapid increase in variations up to September, ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and agreement under a JCT form of contract.
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, designers, and solutions architect, providing commercial insights and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage snagging works from October through September, ensuring all defects are addressed efficiently and to client satisfaction.
Maintain a strong relationship with the client and principal contractor, facilitating smooth project delivery and effective communication.
Your Skills
To be successful in the role of Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll bring:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major construction or large-scale refurbishment projects.
Essential expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) elements within construction.
Strong experience with the JCT form of contract and managing significant project variations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
The ability to work on-site near Farringdon and manage project phases from rapid variations to snagging.
