An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship major energy infrastructure project in Newport.

This Senior QS role offers full commercial ownership on a high-value energy scheme, hybrid working flexibility, and a clear progression route to Managing Quantity Surveyor.

If you are a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor with NEC contract experience looking to step into a major infrastructure or energy project in South Wales, this role delivers scale, stability and career progression.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial management of a major energy work package, driving cost control, contract compliance and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Quantity Surveyor commercial lead on energy / infrastructure package

• NEC3 / NEC4 contract administration (essential)

• Cost planning, cost reporting, forecasting & budget management

• Subcontract procurement & subcontractor management

• Variations, compensation events & change control

• Risk management & value engineering

• Final accounts negotiation

• Support Assistant & Project Quantity Surveyors

• Reporting to Commercial Manager / Managing Quantity Surveyor

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS

• Background in energy, utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure projects

• Strong NEC contract knowledge

• Experience managing high-value construction packages

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management

• Ambition to progress to Managing Quantity Surveyor

• £75,000 basic salary
