Senior Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage and issue accurate, timely, and compliant notices and correspondence
Identify contractual and commercial risks and opportunities
Prepare and agree on applications for payment or assess and prepare payment certificates
Maintain registers of variations, delays, extension times, and claims
Implement the company's commercial policies and procedures
Assist with the preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims
Interface with the customer's commercial and project teams
Produce pre-contract tender negotiations and reports when necessary
Generate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and Contract Leader Reports
Advise on risk management and value management
Prepare supply chain enquiries and manage supply chain contracts
Plan and implement change management and cost control
Liaise with site team, supply chain, and customer's representatives
Advise the project/site team on contractual matters
Ensure awareness of current construction contracts
Understand implications of health, safety, and environmental regulationsJob Requirements:
Significant commercial experience in the construction industry
Financial and commercial acumen
Practical approach and logical thought process
Experience in office management systems, document control, and distribution
Experience in minute taking at contractual meetings
Effective drafting of contractual correspondence
Strong negotiating and team-working skills
Analytical skills
Knowledge of legal, contractual, and construction matters
Confidence and influencing ability
Experience in the water sector
