Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Hampton, Middlesex, London (with travel across project sites)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames team, part of Galliford Try.In this role, you will manage the commercial administration, reporting, and performance on a single large project or several smaller schemes. You'll play a key part in ensuring financial control, contractual compliance, and successful delivery. This position involves travel across named project locations, so flexibility is essential.What you'll be doing: * Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company standards. * Produce subcontract documentation, including negotiation of terms, conditions, prices, and programmes. * Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management. * Issue all commercial notices to clients and subcontractors as required by the contract. * Manage change in line with contractual requirements, including Compensation Event Quotations. * Prepare, submit, and agree monthly applications to the client. * Liaise with operational and engineering teams to maintain accurate site records. * Produce and present detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs). * Maintain a detailed cost plan, tracking and forecasting expenditure, including subcontractor liabilities. * Interpret and evaluate expenditure reports from internal cost systems. * Lead weekly progress and risk reduction meetings with clients and subcontractors. * Support estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise.What we're looking for: * Strong understanding of standard forms of contract. * Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, and experience with CEMAR and Oracle systems. * Solid knowledge of construction processes. * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. * First-class time management and organisational skills. * Experience managing large projects or multiple smaller schemes. * Commercially astute with strong analytical skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. * Flexible and willing to travel extensively. * Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS (desirable), ideally working towards full membership. * Relevant degree and/or experience in a commercial environment. * CSCS card holder.Why join us?You'll be working on some of the most exciting, industry-leading projects backed by a £3.8 billion order book, giving you stability and the chance to make a real impact.
