Senior Quantity Surveyor

£70,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Development and Construction team for a Large London Housing Association.

In this key role, you will provide expert support and guidance on all commercial matters, including procurement, contract structure, and cost control. You will be instrumental in ensuring that both individual projects and the overall development programme are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide construction procurement and framework support, and assist in the negotiation of construction contracts and development agreements.
• You will prepare robust contract documentation to mitigate risk and ensure projects are delivered using the most appropriate procurement routes.
• Review and negotiate cost sum analyses for inclusion in contracts, and support the team with contract and cost advice during the delivery phase.
• You will also assist in reviewing interim valuation payments to ensure all certificates are correctly valued.
• Serve as a commercial expert for the department, offering guidance on all commercial matters and providing financial analysis and modelling to aid in the evaluation of major capital projects.

Skills & Experience

• A proven track record of operating within a large, complex organisation.
• Extensive experience in negotiating and managing build contracts and cost sum analyses.
• Strong understanding of a range of procurement routes and forms of contract.
• Demonstrable commercial awareness and expertise.
• Knowledge of investment considerations and financial appraisal within the development sector.
