Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a major civil engineering contractor who has recently secured a National Highways framework. As a result of this award, there is an immediate and ongoing requirement to strengthen the commercial team.

The first project under the framework is mobilising in the East Midlands, with commercial operations led from Peterborough. These roles will report directly into the Commercial Director, offering strong exposure and long-term opportunity within the business.

The Role

We are seeking experienced freelance Quantity Surveying professionals at QS, Senior QS and Managing QS level to support the commercial delivery of highways and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

·Commercial management of National Highways projects
·Cost control, forecasting and reporting
·Subcontractor procurement and commercial management
·Valuations, variations and final accounts
·Supporting early-stage works and ECI activities where required
·Reporting directly into senior commercial leadership

Essential Experience

·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing QS
·Background in highways, infrastructure or major civil engineering projects
·National Highways framework experience preferred
·Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
·Ability to work independently in a freelance capacity

·Hybrid working available (office, site and remote)
