This includes preparing budgets, interim valuations and final accounts, alongside cost forecasting and supporting value engineering initiatives.The role involves procurement of supply chain partners, assessment and certification of subcontract payments, and ongoing management of variation accounts. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead Extension of Time claims and Loss and/or Expense submissions where required, while ensuring robust commercial documentation and compliance with contract requirements (JCT / NEC).Developing positive working relationships, supporting dispute avoidance, and contributing to strong governance, quality and safety practices are also key elements of the role.Summary of Responsibilities Preparation and analysis of project budgets and cost forecastsCost control, CVR production and reporting of financial performanceProcurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including order documentationAssessment, certification and administration of subcontract paymentsPreparation of interim valuations and final account submissionsManagement and valuation of variations and change control processesLead preparation of EoT claims and Loss & Expense submissionsIdentification and management of commercial and financial risksMaintenance of accurate commercial documentation and auditable recordsCompliance with contractual requirements, particularly JCT / NEC proceduresLead dispute avoidance and resolution processes when requiredMonthly commercial and cost reporting, including cashflow where appropriateCollaboration with project, design and site delivery teamsStakeholder engagement including client, consultant and supply chain liaisonContribution to company governance, quality, health & safety and risk standards Reporting StructureReports to Commercial ManagerWorks closely with Site Teams, Procurement, Preconstruction, Planning, Finance and Supply Chain partnersWhat We're Looking ForInsert skills, experience and training required for the roleQualificationsEssential – Degree QualifiedExperience & SkillsExperience: 7+ years' experience in a similar roleStrong commercial awarenessExperience of JCT and NEC contracts Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong organisational ability with capability to meet deadlinesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of numerical, analytical and IT competenceAbility to work independently using initiative Desirable: Experience working on similar projects or sector typesExperience using cost management systemsExperience with document/contract management platformsExperience contributing to value engineering and cost optimisation initiativesProfessional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS How to Apply:If you're ready to take the next step in your career with a company that values your expertise and innovation, we'd love to hear from you!
