Senior Quantity Surveyor – Façade & Cladding Specialist Contractor\nNorth Greenwich | £75,000–£90,000 + package | Progression to Managing QS\nA specialist building envelope contractor based in South East London, delivering complex façade, cladding, and remediation projects across London and the South East. Following several major project wins, the business is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of two key schemes and play a pivotal role in the company’s growth as it targets £35m turnover next year.\nThe Senior Quantity Surveyor Role\nReporting directly to the Commercial Director, you’ll lead the financial management of two high-profile London projects:\n * £8m (brickwork removal, high-risk remediation).\n * £3m façade project.\nYou’ll be responsible for:\n * Full commercial oversight from early procurement through to final account.\n * Contract negotiation and risk management.\n * Managing subcontractor packages and valuations.\n * Working closely with site teams, project managers, and clients to ensure profitability and programme targets are met.\n * Mentoring a junior QS and contributing to commercial strategy as the business continues to scale.\nProjects typically run 1–2 years, with flexible working between site (Farringdon / Hackney), head office (North Greenwich), and home.\nThe Senior Quantity Surveyor\n * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS accreditation advantageous).\n * Proven experience in cladding, façades, or envelope contracting.\n * Background with façade contractors (desirable).\n * Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to work independently.\n * Stable career history and a “thick skin” – confident handling high-value, high-risk schemes.\n * Ambitious and personable – someone who enjoys leading projects and developing others.\nIn Return\n * Salary: £75,000–£90,000 + discretionary bonus.\n * 21 days holiday + bank holidays (option to trade).\n * Pension scheme & EV salary sacrifice.\n * Cycle-to-work and charity initiatives.\n * Travel expenses from office to site covered.\n * Genuine scope to step up into Managing QS within 12–18 months.\n * Flexibility on home working and working hours.\nIf you’re a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to progress into a leadership role with a forward-thinking façade specialist, please contact Sam Patuzzo at Samuel James Recruitment to discuss in confidence.\nRef: #FACADE-SQS
