The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team based in East London. You'll be responsible for managing commercial projects from pre-contract through to completion, ensuring profitability, compliance, and client satisfaction. This is a key leadership role where you'll guide surveyors, support senior commercial managers, and help drive commercial success across projects.

Key Responsibilities
·Provide leadership to Quantity Surveyors and support the wider commercial team
·Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and client counterparts
·Oversee commercial projects from pre-contract stage through to final accounts
·Manage sub-contracts including tendering, awarding, and monthly payment assessments
·Produce accurate forecasts, CVRs, and final accounts
·Ensure all internal and client processes are followed to minimise commercial risk
·Accurately value completed work and ensure timely cash collection
A company car or car allowance is included in the role, so a full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points) is required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
·Essential: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying
·Essential: NEC TSC contract experience and knowledge of ICC Term Contracts
·Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills
·Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
·Strong numeracy, analytical, written, and presentation skills
·A process-driven approach with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
