OPPORTUNITY: Milk Beach Soho is the leading modern Australian restaurant in London, showcasing Australian cuisine with coastal, barbecue, southeast Asian and Mediterranean influences. We are looking for a confident and talented chef to join the leadership team and play a pivotal role in the growth of the restaurant over the coming years. We are looking for someone with Head Chef potential within 2 years.

Modern Australian restaurant in London located in a spectacular venue in Soho
One of Londons favourite premium casual restaurants, and growing
150-cover restaurant with 80 covers inside, 10 at the bar and 60 covers in the outdoor courtyard
Australian hospitality is professional, knowledgeable and passionate, but also engaging and fun
Seasonal a la carte lunch/dinner menu showcasing modern Australian cuisine - coastal, barbecue, with southeast Asian and Mediterranean influences. We also have a daily breakfast service
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in all aspects of running the kitchen operations of the business, from operational responsibility, team leadership and financial management.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Australian, Southeast Asian or Mediterranean connection
Someone with a strong understanding of Australian, Southeast Asian, and/or Mediterranean cuisine and hospitality
Someone that brings with them a wealth of food knowledge from one of these regions
Operations
Experience in high-calibre kitchens with strong operational standards
Full operational responsibility alongside the Head Chef
Overseeing all kitchen systems and reporting
Experience managing a large team with a passion for developing the team
A confident leader with experience managing a large team and driving culture, performance, learning and development
Team leadership, hiring, training, ordering, food safety, and service management
Organisation
Highly organised with excellent planning skills
Excellent Food Hygiene and Safety knowledge and standards
Personal Growth
Someone who is curious and eager to keep developing their own skills in relation to ingredients, techniques, people management and financial management
Someone eager to learn about business management and run a kitchen like their own business, measured against specific business performance objectives
Someone keen to develop to the Head Chef position within two years
WHAT WE OFFER:
Mentorship under Head Chef Alex Busca
£48,000-£50,000 per annum (48 hours per week)
28 days holiday per year
