The Goring is currently looking for a full time Senior Sous Chef to join an impeccably English Hotel. The Goring features 69 sumptuous suites and rooms, each uniquely decorated with the ?nest furnishings. As the last remaining family-owned luxury hotel in London, it is renowned for its warm, intimate atmosphere and personalised service. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Sous Chef to join the culinary leadership team of our prestigious 5-star hotel in the heart of London, home to an acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant. This is a rare opportunity for a passionate and highly skilled chef to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class dining experiences. About the Role
As our Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead the brigade, maintain Michelin-level standards and drive innovation across our menus. You will be instrumental in ensuring consistency, creativity and excellence in every dish served. Key Responsibilities: Support the Executive Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations and in their absence Lead, train, and inspire a large and diverse brigade of chefs Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene Contribute to menu development and seasonal dishes Ensure cost control, stock management and waste reduction Uphold all health & safety and HACCP standards What we are looking for in our new Senior Sous Chef? Proven experience ideally as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a luxury hotel or high-quality fine dining destination restaurant Desire to join a hotel to grow and develop with, and proven commitment to past employers Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence Creative flair with a deep understanding of modern and classical techniques Calm under pressure with excellent organisational abilities A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering unforgettable guest experiences What we offer?
