About Us Watermans is one of Richmonds most iconic riverside venues. We are repositioning as a premium gastro-pub with serious food credentials, strong brunch, elevated seafood, quality steak, and one of the best Sunday roasts in the area. We are now looking for a strong Second Chef who is ready to step up and become our future Head Chef. This is not a support role. This is a leadership pathway. What We Need From You You must be: Exceptional at breakfast & brunch execution (cloud pancakes, French toast, eggs mastery, premium presentation) Confident running a proper British Sunday roast service at high volume Strong on seafood & meat cookery Creative , able to develop specials that guests talk about Fast, organised and calm under pressure Obsessed with consistency and quality Serious about GP, stock control and waste management Ready to lead a team, not just cook Your Responsibilities Execute and elevate our new brunch & breakfast menu Own and refine our Sunday roast offering Create weekly specials Maintain GP (bonus linked to performance) Control stock, wastage and ordering Ensure full health & safety compliance Train and motivate junior chefs Step into Head Chef role when required What We Offer Clear pathway to Head Chef GP-based bonus structure Creative freedom Prime riverside working environment A serious platform to build your reputation Opportunity to grow with the business This Role Is NOT For You If: You just want to do your hours You avoid responsibility You dont understand margins You cant handle busy services You lack passion This Role IS For You If: You want to build something.
