What will you be doing?
Subsea7 are looking for a Senior Stress Analysis Engineer to join the Pipeline Group (PG) at our Sutton, London office on a full-time, contract basis for an initial period of 9-12 months.
Working as part of a team, our stress analysis engineers will perform advanced finite element analyses (FEA) of rigid pipeline methods (S-lay, J-lay and Reel-lay) supporting either live projects, FEED studies or tender proposals. This will involve designing 3D solid in-line pipe components, pipelines and other pressure equipment under high mechanical, thermal and pressure loads.
PG supports Subsea7's pipelay projects globally and our analysis engineers play an integral part in finding solutions to complex engineering problems. Our engineers are recognised for their expertise and can oversee specific critical subjects either on business improvement, or projects.

What will your responsibilities involve?
The Senior Analysis Engineer will undertake a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, however some of the expected key responsibilities however will be:
- Predict vessel settings for reeling of subsea pipelines
- Understand and perform structural reliability assessments
- Provides support to offshore reeling operations
- Participate with training and development of other engineers
- Participate to the PG department know-how consolidation
- Propose innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction
What experience would we like you to have?

- Experience in a similar role, and similar type of work on FEA focused on complex mechanical behaviour and contact analysis
- Experience working on Non-Linear Analyses problems within FEA and Contact FEA modelling
- Experience with solid modelling and Abaqus (or similar)
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or technical subject. Those with a PhD qualification in a relevant subject are also encouraged to apply and this can be considered equivalent to experience in a similar role
