As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a Tax Specialist to join their team, focusing on personal and trust taxation.

The Role

As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and preparing personal and trust tax returns, ensuring compliance while delivering a high standard of client service.

You will work closely with clients and the wider practice team, providing clear and practical tax advice, while ensuring all deadlines are met. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further specialise within personal taxation in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and submit personal income tax returns

· Prepare and manage trust tax returns

· Respond to HMRC correspondence and client tax queries

· Maintain accurate tax records and ensure compliance with deadlines

· Support clients with a range of personal tax matters

· Provide ad hoc advice on Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT)

· Keep up to date with tax legislation and compliance requirements

· Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure high-quality service delivery

About You

· Proven experience preparing personal income tax returns

· Experience preparing trust tax returns

· Strong knowledge of UK personal taxation

· Experience working within an accountancy practice or tax-focused role

· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

· Strong communication skills with the ability to build client relationships

· A proactive and professional approach
