Role OverviewAs a Technical Consultant in the Virtualisation Core Platform team, you will help shape and maintain the infrastructure that powers Fidelity’s mission‑critical systems. This role ensures our VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environment remains secure, scalable and efficient, supporting over 5,000 systems and enabling global business continuity.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain platform health and manage capacity for VMware vCenter, vCenter, ESXi, Aria Suite, NSX, vSAN and DellEMC VxRail.Implement security patches, capacity planning and operational excellence for the virtual compute platform.Deliver resilient, cost‑effective virtual compute resources that underpin critical services, from trading platforms to desktop environments.QualificationsHands‑on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter and HA clusters, storage and networking.Proven ability to manage enterprise‑class virtual infrastructures with HA clusters, storage, and networking.Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure, including hybrid environment deployment and management.Solid knowledge of vRealize Automation and Orchestrator plus scripting skills in JavaScript or Python.Practical experience applying AI‑driven solutions for automation, optimisation or predictive analytics.Strong problem‑solving ability, networking fundamentals (DNS, VLANs, routing) and storage technologies (vSAN, Dell EMC).Benefits & CultureOur clients come from all walks of life and so do we.
