Technical Services Manager Fit out and Refurbishment Main Contractor\n\nLocation London\nSalary and Benefits £90,000 depending on experience plus car allowance\n\nThe Opportunity\n\n• Well established main contractor specialising in high end commercial, healthcare, education, and leisure fit out and refurbishment projects ranging from approximately £50k to £60m\n• Over fifty years of delivery experience across London and the South East\n• Technically engaging role working in live environments with high quality finishes\n• Opportunity to lead the technical services delivery across multiple live schemes\n• Ownership of full MEP technical scope from early design through installation, commissioning, and handover\n• Key role ensuring quality, compliance, coordination, and performance across all contract phases\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n• Lead the technical services function across one to two live contracts, primarily commercial office, healthcare, or education fit out and refurbishment projects\n• Manage MEP coordination from surveys and early design stages through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover\n• Ensure design intent, interfaces, and specialist systems are effectively integrated into delivery\n• Provide technical oversight of building services subcontractors, including specialist packages such as hydraulics, medical gases, and clean room environments\n• Review and approve technical submissions and design information\n• Coordinate consultants, lead clash detection meetings, and drive buildable technical solutions\n• Undertake regular site visits, typically a minimum of one per week per contract, to monitor progress, quality, commissioning readiness, and system performance\n• Work closely with project management, commercial, health and safety, and sustainability teams to ensure coordinated delivery and programme alignment\n• Mentor and support junior technical staff and promote continuous improvement and high standards of workmanship\n\nAbout You\n\n• Proven experience as a Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager, or Senior MEP Engineer within a main contracting environment\n• Strong background in refurbishment and fit out projects, preferably within commercial, healthcare, or education sectors\n• Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems\n• Confident managing multiple contracts, complex interfaces, consultants, and subcontractors\n• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills\n• Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast paced, quality focused environment\n• Based in or near the South East with flexibility to visit sites across London and surrounding regions\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n• Opportunity to join a highly reputable contractor with a strong pipeline of technically complex and high quality projects\n• A senior and influential role with genuine autonomy over technical services delivery\n• Competitive salary and benefits package including car allowance, travel or mileage support, and hybrid working\n• Long term career progression within a stable and growing business known for technical excellence and quality culture\n\nIf you are a technically focused building services professional looking to lead challenging fit out and refurbishment projects and make a real impact, we would welcome a confidential discussion
