Senior to Principal EIA Consultant

An established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to strengthen its Environmental Impact Assessment team due to a strong and growing project pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior to Principal EIA professional to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse range of complex housing developments and infrastructure/renewables schemes across the UK.Projects currently include strategic urban extensions, large-scale residential developments, town centre regeneration, mixed-use masterplans, and selected infrastructure and energy schemes.The RoleAs a Senior to Principal EIA Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and delivering impact assessment projects from inception through to submission.Your responsibilities will include:Leading and coordinating EIA projects, particularly for major development schemesActing as primary author and editor of Environmental Statements and related documentationManaging multidisciplinary inputs and reviewing specialist technical chaptersLiaising with clients, design teams, planning authorities and consulteesOverseeing project programmes, budgets and invoicingSupporting fee proposals, tender submissions and business development activitiesAttending networking and industry engagement eventsAbout YouYou will be degree qualified in environmental science or a related discipline and bring:Approximately 4+ years' experience within a consultancy environmentA strong track record of delivering proportionate EIAs on complex UK projectsSolid understanding of EIA Regulations and the UK planning systemMembership of a relevant professional body (or working towards chartership)Excellent written, analytical and organisational skillsA proactive, commercially aware and detail-focused approachWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageHybrid working arrangementsExposure to high-profile, technically challenging projectsClear progression opportunities within a growing teamSupportive, collaborative working cultureWhen applying to any role through Cobalt, your CV will never be shared with a client without your prior consent.
