They have built a solid reputation for delivering reliable and innovative engineering solutions that enable successful development across a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide.Position DutiesManage and deliver transport planning projects, ensuring they meet programme and budget requirementsPrepare, review, and occasionally approve technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Technical NotesUndertake and review transport analysis, including trip generation, distribution, and junction modellingDesign and assess access arrangements, including visibility splays, vehicle tracking, and site access optionsIdentify and develop mitigation measures to address capacity, safety, and active travel constraintsPrepare appeal documentation, including Statements of Case and Statements of Common GroundLiaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationshipsAttend and contribute to meetings, public consultations, and highway authority discussionsProject manage schemes, including coordinating resources, managing timelines, and monitoring budgetsProvide high-level advice and support across multiple projects, including those not directly assignedSupport and mentor junior staff, assisting with their training and developmentPrepare fee proposals and tender submissions for projects of varying scaleAssist with business development activities, including networking and marketing initiativesContribute to S106 discussions and planning negotiationsEnsure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and professional best practicePosition Requirements Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant disciplineMembership of a relevant professional organisationMinimum of 5 years' experience in transport planningExperience applying national, regional, and local transport policy and design guidanceExperience preparing and reviewing technical documents (Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Technical Notes)Experience preparing appeal documentation (Statements of Case, Statements of Common Ground)Proven experience in project management, including budget control and programme deliveryExperience in client and stakeholder liaison, including local authorities and project teamsExperience attending and contributing to public consultations, meetings, and stakeholder discussionsExperience in business development activities, including networking and marketing supportExperience contributing to S106 obligation discussionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to provide high-level advice and initial project feedback without detailed technical inputProficiency in junction modelling software and methodologies for trip generation and distribution (including 'Decide and Provide')Ability to design and assess mitigation measures for capacity, safety, and active travel issuesCapability to undertake access appraisals and develop access design solutionsCommercial awareness, including preparing fee proposals and tendersProblem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable approachAbility to work under pressure in a calm and efficient mannerCompetence in Microsoft Office and other computer-based systemsPosition Remuneration 5-hour workdays with flexible working hours, with a core hour requirement allowing for lifestyle and work life balance24 days annual leave, increasing with length of service plus 8 bank holidaysDay off on your birthday if it falls on a working dayOne community or charity day a year to allow you to support the person projects you loveSalary sacrifice scheme with the opportunity to purchase or sell annual leave days.Christmas shut downQuarterly and yearly bonus schemes, offering the potential to earn morePrivate healthcare upon completion of probation periodBike to work schemeStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
