Job Description Nexus Underwriting are looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our Management Liabilities team.

As Senior Underwriter you will operate in a highly visible role impacting of the overall success of the ML team.

Within this role, you will take ownership and accountability for key pieces of business, and key broker relationships.

The role will involve working within underwriting parameters and authority levels to drive existing and new broker relationships by delivering high quality account underwriting and servicing of renewal and new business.

Responsibilities:
Underwriting, pricing, and negotiating accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategy, guidelines and individual underwriting authority
In conjunction with the Unit Head, take a lead role in identifying, finding, sourcing and marketing new business opportunities.
Executing agreed business and action plans with brokers in terms of profitability, retention, and new business ratios
Take responsibility and through leadership in developing a regional new broker business plan
Taking accountability and ownership for own underwriting decisions
Highlighting and working with underwriters on non-typical opportunities
