An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Delivery Manager with a proven record of operational delivery and service management. The role is open to all applicants wishing to progress their career with experience in staff management, service improvement and operational delivery. Responsibilities
The Delivery Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Emergency Department and reports to the Service Manager. Day‑to‑day operational delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints. Manage key A&E performance targets, continuously improving patient experience with a balanced demand and capacity plan. Support clinical teams in developing the service in line with the clinical strategy, working with Clinical Directors, Consultants, Matrons and the Head of Nursing. Establish clear KPI measures for the service and ensure delivery at the required level. Resolve operational problems and, when necessary, Escalate to the Service Manager. Develop processes and allocate work/resources to maintain a high‑functioning service. Support the directorate’s implementation of service improvement and general development of services. Play a key part in supporting change and reviewing care pathways with clinical teams. Look after and nurture the staff managed, helping them develop knowledge and skills.
