Are you a confident SHEQ Inspector with a strong background in groundworks, concrete and civils, ready to take ownership of safety and quality across major European projects?
This company is a specialist civils and groundworks contractor delivering concrete, rebar and structural works for clients across the power, industrial, commercial and residential sectors. Due to continued growth and long-term projects in Portugal, they are now looking to strengthen their SHEQ team.
In this role, you will carry out SHEQ inspections across groundworks and civils projects, working closely with site teams to ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and quality. The position is predominantly site-based in Portugal, operating on a 3 weeks on / 1 weekend back rotation, with all travel and accommodation fully expensed.
This role would suit a SHEQ professional from a civils, groundworks or construction background who is based in or around Greater London and is comfortable working overseas on a rotational basis.
The Role:
Carry out SHEQ inspections across groundworks and civils projects

Conduct site audits, risk assessments and accident investigations

Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and company standards

Support site teams with best practice in safety, environmental and quality procedures

Produce reports and maintain accurate SHEQ documentation

The Person:
NEBOSH qualified

Background in civils / groundworks / construction environments

Willing and able to work predominantly in Portugal
