We re recruiting for a forward-thinking company in Richmond, North Yorkshire, seeking a proactive, part-time SHEQ Manager to oversee Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality activities. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce SHEQ policies that ensure compliance with legal and industry standards Conduct risk assessments, manage non-conformance, and implement corrective and preventative actions Coordinate employee safety inductions and ongoing training programs Ensure compliance with SHEQ-related accreditations (e.g., Achilles UVDB, ISO9001, ISO14001) and manage audits Investigate incidents or accidents and oversee worker s compensation claims where necessary Capture, analyse, and report SHEQ performance data to drive improvement Collaborate with operational teams to integrate SHEQ considerations across all projects and operations Maintain, review, and continuously improve SHEQ documentation, processes, and procedures Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH Proven experience in SHEQ management, ideally in the Water or Construction sectors Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills Familiarity with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations Desired Attributes: Hands-on and proactive, able to support all areas of the business Meticulous attention to detail to maintain high standards of safety and quality Confident problem-solver, able to identify issues and implement effective solutions Additional Hours: Part-time, 2/3 days per week Salary: Day rate on a self employed basis or a permanent contract This is a fantastic opportunity for a SHEQ Manager who wants to contribute to a forward-thinking company, work in a supportive and dynamic environment, and enjoy the flexibility to work in a way that suits them.
