What you'll be doing;
Assisting the Shift Team Leader with the operation of the plant from a Central Control Room, including the operation of refuse cranes
Ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit, reporting any non-compliance or incidents to the Shift Team Leader
Carrying out routine plant inspections, adjustments and operations as required, collecting and recording plant data
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Recovery Facility at all times
Monitoring stocks and taking receipts of consumables and collections
Working as part of the Operations team, assisting the Shift Team Leader and supporting other team members as required
Assisting other company staff and contractors as required
Undertaking personal development to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role
What we're looking for;
Engineering experience working in a continuous process environment, preferably on steam generating equipment
An interest in mechanical and electrical plant with some hands-on experience of plant operations is essential
Experience gained through shift working, with the ability to work a continuous rotating shift pattern including overtime when required
A good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
Waste Incineration experience is desirable but not essential
