Freelance Site Agent – Earthworks & Water Civils – Portsmouth Location: Portsmouth Contract Type: Freelance (CIS or Outside IR35) Duration: 2 Years Start Date: ASAP
A Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Site Agent for a major earthworks and water civils project based in Portsmouth. This is a long-term freelance opportunity, suitable for professionals with a strong background in self-delivery on complex heavy civil engineering schemes. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day site operations on large-scale earthworks and water infrastructure works Manage self-delivery teams and coordinate with subcontractors Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification Monitor and report on programme, progress, and quality Liaise with engineering, planning, and commercial functionsRequirements: Demonstrable experience as a Site Agent on major civil engineering projects Strong background in earthworks and water-related infrastructure Proven experience in self-delivery within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contracting environment Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (preferred) Eligible to work on a CIS or Outside IR35 basisIf you're available and interested, please apply with your CV or get in touch for a confidential discussion...
