Freelance Site Engineer – Highways & Structures (CIS) 6 Month Contract

Location: Warwickshire / West Midlands Day Rate: Upto £400 per day (CIS) Start: ASAP Duration: 6 months

The Opportunity

A respected civil engineering contractor is delivering a package of highways and structural improvement works within the Midlands region. They are seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a CIS basis, supporting delivery across earthworks, drainage and structural elements including reinforced concrete works.

This is a great fit for an engineer seeking a stable medium-term contract on a technically interesting infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities

*

Setting out for civils, drainage, earthworks and structural/RC works

*

Managing and updating QA documentation (ITPs, check sheets, as-builts)

*

Working with the site management team to ensure safe and compliant delivery

*

Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring technical standards are met

*

Supporting temporary works processes

*

Assisting with progress reporting and resolving engineering queries on-site

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways, civils or structures projects

*

Competent with Total Station and GPS equipment

*

Strong understanding of QA systems

*

CSCS essential; SSSTS/SMSTS beneficial

*

Ability to work independently and manage multiple work fronts

*

Available for a 6 month CIS contract
