medium-sized, highly respected super-prime residential contractor

delivering some of Londons finest private homes. Known for technical excellence, discretion, and outstanding quality, they specialise in complex refurbishments, basements, and high-end fit-outs across Prime Central London. They are currently delivering a

beautiful mews house project in South Kensington , involving

significant structural alterations and a complex basement , followed by a

bespoke, luxury fit-out . The Role

We are seeking an experienced

Site Manager

to take responsibility for the

day-to-day site delivery , with a particular focus on the

structural and basement phases , before overseeing the project through to completion. Working closely with a strong and supportive

Project Manager , you will manage site operations, specialist subcontractors, health & safety, programme, and quality on a technically challenging scheme in a constrained urban environment. Key Responsibilities

Site & Project Delivery Full day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards

Leading the

structural and basement phases , including sequencing, coordination, and technical delivery

Managing the transition from heavy works through to

high-end internal fit-out

Subcontractor Management Overseeing and coordinating specialist contractors, including basement, underpinning, temporary works, structural steel, reinforced concrete, waterproofing, and faade trades

Chairing site meetings and ensuring clear communication across all trades

Monitoring performance, quality, and compliance of all subcontractors

Health & Safety Maintaining exceptional

H&S standards

in line with company procedures and statutory requirements

Reviewing, implementing, and monitoring RAMS

Ensuring site compliance with CDM regulations

Proactively managing risk in a confined Central London setting

Programme & Logistics Working with the Project Manager to manage short-term and look-ahead programmes

Coordinating deliveries, access, and logistics within a mews environment

Identifying and resolving site issues proactively to avoid delays

Quality & Finishing Ensuring workmanship meets super-prime standards throughout

Managing inspections, snagging, and quality control

Overseeing the delivery of a

highly detailed luxury fit-out

Client & Team Collaboration Working professionally and discreetly with clients, consultants, neighbours, and stakeholders

Representing the contractor on site with confidence and authority

Supporting and mentoring junior site staff where applicable

The Ideal Candidate

Experience Proven experience as a

Site Manager on super-prime or high-value residential refurbishments

Strong, demonstrable background in

basement construction and structural works

Experience working in Prime Central London or similarly constrained environments

Technical Skills Excellent understanding of structural sequencing and specialist trades

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Personal Attributes Calm, organised, and methodical approach

Strong leadership and communication skills

High attention to detail and pride in quality

Professional, discreet, and client-focused

Qualifications (Preferred) SMSTS

First Aid at Work

CSCS (Black or Gold)

Relevant construction qualification or trade background
