TD Recruitment are working with a well-established construction contractor who is seeking an experienced Site Manager to work on projects across County Durham and the wider Northeast. Duties
Day-to-day management of site operations and workforce Coordinate trades, subcontractors, and materials Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and site compliance Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and inspections Manage quality control and ensure works are completed to specification
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on UK construction or civils projects Strong background managing day-to-day site operations and subcontractors SMSTS – essential CSCS (Black or Gold card preferred) First Aid at Work Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations, RAMS, and site compliance Ability to manage programmes, coordinate trades, and drive productivity on site Experience delivering projects on time and to specification Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Reliable work history with good references from UK contractors Full UK driving licence (preferred due to site locations)
