Site Manager Location: Projects based locally We are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking main contractor with exciting plans for continued growth. Due to ongoing project wins, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their Small Works Division, delivering a range of main contracting projects valued up to £7 8 million. This role offers autonomy, variety and the opportunity to work for a business that genuinely supports its site teams while investing in long-term development. The Role As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
Managing all on-site activities from start to completion Delivering main contracting projects up to £7 8m in value Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards Managing programmes, short-term planning and site logistics Liaising with project managers, commercial teams and clients Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress Driving a positive site culture and high-quality workmanship
About You
Proven experience as a Site Manager within main contracting Strong background delivering small to medium-sized projects (up to £7 8m) Sound knowledge of construction methods, H&S legislation and site management best practice Able to manage multiple workstreams and subcontract packages Confident communicator with a hands-on, proactive approach SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications (essential)
