Site Technical Assistant - Fresh Produce

Based in Essex - commutable from Kent, Suffolk, and surrounding areas

As a key support to the Site Technical Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining site technical standards and ensuring smooth, compliant operations across all departments.

Site Technical Assistant Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all technical documentation, including specifications, certificates, traceability records, and supplier information
• Manage customer complaints and support associated investigations
• Ensure the QMS / Quality Management System and documentation is accurate and regularly reviewed
• Assist internal teams by ensuring standards and procedures are clearly communicated and effectively implemented
• Prepare information required for internal and external audits to BRC standards and support audit activities
• Administer supplier documentation and due diligence, including data verification on technical platforms
• Conduct internal inspections, including hygiene and good manufacturing practice assessments, and record findings accurately

Site Technical Assistant Key Requirements

• Experience in a Food site technical compliance position, with exposure to BRC standards
• Good communication skills and ability to work positively with cross-functional teams
• Accuracy under pressure, able to meet strict deadlines in a time-critical environment
• Confident with documentation management and administrative processes
• Comfortable working across office, packhouse, and cold store environments
• Motivated to develop a strong career in site technical management within Fresh Produce
