This is a hands-on leadership role where youll drive mechanical design from concept through manufacture, installation and commissioning.The RoleLead the mechanical design of complex industrial process equipmentOwn the CAD system (Solid Edge), standards and design release processDesign bespoke machinery and integrated material handling systemsEnsure correct integration of RF, high-voltage and electrical control systemsOversee documentation, compliance and design qualityWhat Were Looking ForDegree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent experience)Proven experience designing bespoke industrial machinery or process equipmentStrong 3D CAD skills (Solid Edge preferred; SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo welcome)Experience integrating welding systems, RF assemblies, thermal or high-voltage equipmentSheet metal, frames, enclosures and structural design expertiseKnowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and drive systems (servo/stepper motors)Strong grasp of DFM/DFA, tolerancing and manufacturing processesExperience working with suppliers and external manufacturersUnderstanding of CE / UKCA complianceYoull be a natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
