Qualified Social Worker needed for our 16+ Young People (YP) Service in Croydon, Hybrid Working

Team: 16+ Young People (YP) Service

Rate: £39.04 per hour

Caseload: Approximately 18 cases

Working Arrangement: Minimum 3 days in the office

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join the 16+ Young People Service, supporting older children and young people as they transition toward independence. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of approximately 18 young people and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes for young people aged 16 and above.

The role involves assessment, care planning, safeguarding, and supporting young people with pathways into adulthood, including education, training, employment, and independent living.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 18 young people aged 16+
• Undertake assessments, reviews, and care planning in line with statutory requirements
• Support young people transitioning from care into adulthood and independent living
• Work closely with partner agencies including housing, education, and health services
• Maintain accurate and timely case records and reports in accordance with service standards
• Contribute to safeguarding and risk management for vulnerable young people

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification
• Substantial post-qualification experience working within Children’s Services, particularly with young people aged 16+
• Experience managing complex caseloads and undertaking statutory assessments, care planning, and safeguarding responsibilities
