We are helping a large UK-owned software group to build and scale a world-class, AI-first engineering organisation in Manchester. They have very ambitious plans and the budget to make it happen.
As Engineering Manager, you will manage high-performing squads, drive technical excellence, and shape modern development practices.
You’ll combine leadership with hands-on technical oversight, ensuring secure, scalable solutions while championing AI-driven workflows and continuous improvement across multiple greenfield projects.
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams
Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated environments.
Strong background as a software engineer with architectural expertise
Knowledge of secure SDLC, QA automation, DevOps pipelines, and cloud- development (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Ability to lead delivery across several workstreams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
An advocate of AI-assisted development
