Morson Edge is recruiting motivated entry-level Solar Installers / Labourers to join a leading UK commercial and industrial rooftop solar provider. This is a permanent, Monday–Thursday role involving nationwide travel with regular overnight stays (typically four nights per week).
This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career in renewable energy. While previous solar, electrical, or construction experience is beneficial, it is not essential for applicants who are reliable, hardworking, and keen to learn. Full on-site training, mentoring, and enrolment in the Elevate training programme are provided.
What You'll Do
Assist senior installers with roof preparation and materials handling
Support solar PV installation works under supervision
Install and route DC cabling as instructed
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area
Safely handle tools, equipment, and materials
Follow RAMS, site rules, and health & safety procedures
Participate fully in training and on-site coaching
Essential Requirements (Mandatory)
Applicants must have the following:
Valid CSCS Card – mandatory
Full UK driving licence – mandatory
Own vehicle for travel to head office / initial site access – mandatory
Willingness to work at height and on construction sites
Flexibility to travel nationwide with regular overnight stays
Desirable (But Not Essential)
Previous experience in solar, electrical, roofing, or construction work
Basic hand tool knowledge (or willingness to learn)

£33,000 basic salary
Permanent employment with a Monday–Thursday working week (42.5 hours)
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
£30 daily food allowance
£30 per night overnight allowance
