Solution Architect – Network & Infrastructure – 6‑Month Contract

Solution Architect required to support a Global Organisation.

A Solution Architect is required to support a global organisation at the outset of a major Workplace Modernisation programme. This role will play a key part in the design and delivery of a global transformation, working across network, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.

The successful Solution Architect will bring strong experience operating within complex, enterprise‑scale environments and will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure solutions align with architectural standards and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Experience

The successful Solutions Architect will demonstrate the following experience and expertise:

  • Proven experience working as a Solution Architect within a global organisation, ideally in a regulated environment such as Insurance, Legal, or Financial Services
  • Strong background in IT Architecture, with practical application of architectural principles to solution design
  • Technology knowledge with deep expertise in Infrastructure Architecture, including:
    • Network Technologies: Cisco, SD‑WAN, Aruba
    • Firewalls, routers, switches, AV
    • Infrastructure & Cloud: Azure, Microsoft 365
    • Windows 11, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
    • OneDrive, Active Directory
    • Hybrid on‑premise and cloud data centre environments
    • Security experience is advantageous
  • Full end‑to‑end solution design and deployment experience across on‑premise and Azure cloud platforms
  • Strong ownership of technical documentation, including production, review, and maintenance
  • Experience leading or contributing to Design Authority processes, covering solution design, governance, and assurance
  • Close collaboration with Enterprise and Security Architects to ensure compliance with architectural and security standards
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is desirable

This Solution Architect will be required to attend the site 2‑3 days per week in Edinburgh.

Contract Details

Immediate start, with interview slots available in early January 2026. Initially a 6‑month contract, potentially extending to 12 months or longer.

This role could also suit an Infrastructure Architect or Network Architect.

Background checks (Right to Work, Reference, Certification) will occur before starting; process may take up to 4 weeks.
