About the role Are you an ambitious Sous Chef looking for your next opportunity in a stunning rural setting? Join our dynamic kitchen team at a busy holiday resort set in the heart of Devon s countryside, offering guests exceptional food alongside relaxation and spa experiences. As Sous Chef you will work closely with the Head Chef to support the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will help maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation, while leading and motivating the kitchen team during preparation and service. This is a hands-on-role with scope to contribute to menu development using fresh, seasonal produce. We are looking for a cultural fit and you should show the ability to work on your own initiative and work within a strong team environment. You should show pride in completing work to a high standard, with a good understanding of a customer focused business. What we re looking for Qualified Sous Chef with proven experience in a busy kitchen Passion for fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced food Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and holidays Availability to start from February half term preferred Experience in high volume, busy environment Record, monitor and minimise food wastage Train and develop kitchen team members Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to £14.75 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: Company pension Discounted or free food Employee discount Health & wellbeing programme On-site parking Work Location: In person
