Verve People, part of the Interaction Recruitment Group are now recruiting a Sous Chef to join the team of one of our clients.

A fantastic opportunity has come about to work with this highly experienced Head Chef, bringing with him experiences of The Berkeley under Marcus Wareing to name but one.
With a heavy stance on mentoring and building a team versed the vision of this F&B team.
Utilising the finest ingredients from the gardens, fields and waters of Yorkshire, prepared and cooked to showcase its simplicity on a plate.

As a Sous Chef, you are responsible for taking control and accountability of the Kitchen department while ensuring that standards are always delivered. We are seeking a dedicated individual capable of developing their team in line with the long-term goals of the overall Food and Beverage Department alongside the existing Sous Chef.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking for real growth and development opportunities.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
·Assist in leading a team of chefs and creating a teamwork driven environment which promotes great employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in their work.
·Have a passion to bring a creative flare to menu changes and new dishes.
·To assist in ensuring the profitability of food operations, this to include ensuring food stock-takes are carried out as required.
. Mentoring the brigade ensuring all are reaching their potential
·To assist with maintaining and constant improvement of departmental operating standards. This to include product/ menu development and menu specifications.
·To evaluate and act promptly and effectively on customer feedback received through any and all channels to achieve positive and consistent results.
·Always maintain exceptionally high cleanliness standards in outlets.
·To be proficient in complying with statutory and Company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Licensing Laws, and other legislation and ensure your team are trained to meet the above requirements.
· Banqueting experience is not essential however would be favourable.
