Sous Chef

Our client requires a Sous Chef to assist in runing n a contract in the provision of high end private education catering. Set up in order to help people meet their full potential, this is a great environment in which to work. They are currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef, preferably with a background in private education catering or prestige hotels to take up the challenge.
Job Description:
Working on a 5 days over 7 basis, 40 weeks per year, you will be managing a team of 5 providing high end, quality food to around 60 students. You will be involved in the day to day catering services on site and work with suitable menus that exceed expectations. Alongside this, you will help ensure that all health, safety and hygiene standards are met. An experience and knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens is essential.
Required Experience:
You will have experience of the provision of food to similar volume at Sous Chef level in a private education environment, accoladed hotel, or prestige business and industry contract. You will need to demonstrate a record of success and the drive and desire to always increase standards of food and service. You will require up to date references, and a clean DBS check. A knowledge of modern food trends and commerciality is paramount, alongside a background in working with the highest quality standards and levels of food.
Salary and Benefits:
The starting salary for this role is £32,000p/a.
