Sous Chef – Modern British Brasserie – London


Smyth & Co is excited to be working with a well-known luxury hospitality group to find a talented Sous Chef for one of their signature modern British brasseries. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected kitchen delivering seasonal, elevated dishes in a stylish and vibrant setting.


✨ About the Role

As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, lead sections during service, mentor junior chefs, and maintain outstanding levels of quality and consistency. We’re looking for someone creative, organised, and confident during busy services — a real team player with strong leadership skills.


Key Information

Salary: £41,000 + approx. £7,000 in tronc

Hours: 45-hour contract

Additional Hours: Paid at £17 per hour

Start: Immediate starts available

Cuisine: Modern British, brasserie-style

Environment: High-end, fast-paced, quality-focused kitchen


What We’re Looking For

• Experience in modern British or high-end brasserie cooking

• Previous Sous Chef experience (or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up)

• Ability to lead services confidently and support kitchen operations

• Passion, positivity, and a commitment to high standards

• Immediate availability is a bonus
