£32,000 + benefits Job Type: Full-time About Us: We are a well-established and welcoming hotel in Worksop, known for delivering high-quality dining experiences and exceptional guest service. Our kitchen prides itself on fresh ingredients, creative menus, and a strong team culture. The Role: We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading the kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic hotel environment. This is a 40 hours per week role with some weekends included. Shifts will be between 6am - 9pm to cover prep and service and shift length can vary from 8-10 hours. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene Support menu development, including seasonal and special dishes Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations Step into the Head Chef role when required Requirements: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to progress Background in hotel or high-volume kitchen environments preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Passion for fresh, high-quality food Good understanding of food safety standards (Level 2/3 Food Hygiene) Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays What We Offer: Competitive salary Opportunities for career progression Company discounts Supportive and friendly working environment How to Apply: If you are passionate about food and ready to take the next step in your culinary career, we would love to hear from you.
