Senior Sous Chef | Country Durham | 4* Country House Hotel Salary: £35,000 per annum + tips Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week. The Role: We are looking for a strong No.2 to support our clients current Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the venues main kitchen. This is not just about culinary flair we need someone with excellent management and leadership skills to help run a fast-paced kitchen, particularly during very busy weekends , with Sunday Lunch service being a major highlight. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations Lead and motivate the team during service Ensure consistent food quality and presentation Maintain high standards of hygiene and health & safety compliance Help manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction Contribute to menu planning and development What Were Looking For: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume environment Strong kitchen leadership and staff management skills Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure A hands-on approach with a can-do attitude Excellent communication and time-management skills The Legal Stuff Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
