We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Ilford that’s looking for an experienced, qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join them ASAP.

This isn’t a sit-on-the-sidelines kind of role. You’ll be right at the heart of the school, supporting young people with speech, language and communication needs so they can thrive in the classroom and beyond.

What you’ll be doing:

Delivering 1:1 and small group speech and language interventions
Assessing students’ communication needs and creating tailored support plans
Working closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and families
Supporting EHCP targets and contributing to annual reviews
Advising staff on strategies to support communication across the curriculum

What the school is looking for:

A recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
HCPC registration
Proven experience working in a secondary school setting
Strong knowledge of SEND, EHCP processes, and communication needs
Confidence working independently and as part of a wider team
Experience with autism, SEMH, or complex communication needs would be a real plus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
