Sport Welfare Project Officer

Contract: Fixed term until March 2027

Salary: £28,000 per annum (full-time equivalent)

Hours: 30-37.5 hours per week (open to flexible working)

Location: Home-based with national travel

Reports to: Strategic Lead - Welfare

Active Partnerships are looking for a Sport Welfare Project Officer to help strengthen the national coordination of a vital safeguarding and culture change initiative across sport. This is a fixed-term national role focused on practical support, insight, and collaboration.

About the role:

This is a people-focused role supporting a major national programme to improve safeguarding and welfare in grassroots sport. You'll be part of a small team helping to connect and coordinate 63 Sport Welfare Officers working across the country, ensuring they have the tools, support, and relationships to thrive in their roles.

Whether it's gathering insight from across the network, supporting day-to-day operations, helping shape inclusive resources, or simply being a friendly and reliable point of contact - you'll play a vital part in delivering long-term cultural change in sport.
