The successful candidates will showcase clear operational experience as they lead the front of house team and support the House Manager in delivering the vision and goals for the department. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated hospitality professional(s) who thrive in a high-standard, member-focused environment. With guests and visitors travelling from across the world, this role requires exceptional service standards, excellent attention to detail, and strong operational capability. F and B turnover at St Georges Hill is over GBP 1.3 million, with events arranged almost daily throughout the season. These roles will be demanding, but also rewarding, as the successful candidates will be given the opportunity to learn, grow, embark on education pathways and become part of the fabric of St Georges Hill Golf Club.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Focus
To support the House Manager in delivering all clubhouse operations taking the lead for events, groups, societies and training. Maintain exceptional hospitality standards and an outstanding member experience. Lead and manage a team of up to 16 staff members. Deliver staff training and ensure full departmental Health & Safety compliance. Analyse sales trends and negotiate competitive offers with suppliers. Act as a keyholder, responsible for opening and closing the clubhouse. Liaise with society and corporate organisers to ensure smooth running of their day. Oversee stocktaking, inventory control, and cost management. Deputise for the House Manager in their absence.
What Were Looking For:
Proven management experience in hospitality or house operations, ideally in a Members Club. Professional qualifications from
HGCMA ,
CMAE
or similar are desirable. Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills. A proactive approach and ability to work collaboratively across all departments. A passion for delivering warm, professional, and consistent service. Flexibility in your approach to work
in terms of both hours what is asked of you.
