Structural Analysis Engineer – Metal Fabrication Focus (Aluminium)\n\nSalary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE\n\nOverview\n\nWe’re working with a leading engineering business at the forefront of precision metal fabrication, seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer with proven experience in both Linear and Non-Linear FEA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, performance, and compliance of lightweight metal structures — particularly aluminium fabrications — across a wide range of applications.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nConduct detailed Linear and Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and fabricated components\n\nUse ANSYS to perform simulations, validate models, and provide actionable insights to the design and manufacturing teams\n\nApply Eurocode standards in structural analysis and documentation\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and structural integrity of designs\n\nInvestigate failure modes, fatigue performance, and stress concentrations in metal fabrications\n\nContribute to continuous improvement of analysis methodology and design validation processes\n\nKey Requirements\n\nDegree-qualified in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering (or similar discipline)\n\nStrong hands-on experience with both Linear and Non-Linear FEA\n\nProficient in ANSYS for simulation and structural analysis\n\nWorking knowledge of Eurocodes for compliance in structural design\n\nSolid understanding of metal fabrication techniques, with a strong focus on aluminium structures\n\nExperience interpreting and improving designs to meet strength, stiffness, and durability targets\n\nDesirable Experience\n\nExposure to weld design and mechanical fastening in lightweight structures\n\nFamiliarity with fatigue analysis, buckling, and large deformation simulations\n\nExperience working in sectors such as defence, rail, aerospace, or architectural metalwork\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nOpportunity to work on complex structural challenges in advanced metal fabrication\n\nJoin a technically driven team with a passion for precision engineering\n\nCompetitive salary + benefits\n\nCareer progression in a growing, reputable business\n\nBy applying for this position, you consent to Recruit Engineering processing and storing your personal data, including your CV, contact details, and any other relevant information, for the purpose of providing work-finding services.
