Centres and dates: Ardingly: 1st July to 11th August 2026 Bath University: 1st July to 11th August 2026 Bath Prior Park: 6th July to 2nd August 2026 Cirencester: 2nd July to 12th August 2026 Eastbourne: 1st July to 11th August 2026 Horsham: 8th July to 4th August 2026 Nottingham: 1st July to 11th August 2026 Tasks As a Summer Activity Leader, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and leading a variety of recreational activities for children and teens aged 11 – 17 (a small number of students might be outside this age bracket). Your enthusiasm, creativity, and leadership skills will ensure that every student has a memorable and enriching experience. Key Responsibilities: Plan and lead a range of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, games, and leading students on educational excursions. Always ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel welcome and valued. Encourage students to practice their English and collaborate with their peers from other nationalities. Communicate effectively with students, Group Leaders and other staff members. Assist with the setup and clean up of activities and events. Requirements

Must be UK based and / or have the right to work in the UK Ideally have previous experience working with children or teens in a recreational or educational setting but this is not essential. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Enthusiastic, energetic, and creative mindset. First aid certification (desirable but not essential). Life Guard certification (desirable but not essential). Must be able to work weekends . Benefits Activity Leader basic salaries from £440 to £500 per week with an additional 12.07% holiday pay added if no holiday is taken. Residential staff have board and accommodation included, though a weekly accommodation supplement will be deducted. CONTRACTS Contracts are for 4 weeks with the possibility of an additional 2 weeks. Shorter contracts may also be available, please ask. Staff training takes place 1 day before the Centre start date. Safer Recruitment Elac Study Vacations will carry out, and pay for, DBS Enhanced Disclosure checks (or Disclosure Scotland checks), with Barred List in accordance with the Children Act 1989. A check on the Prohibited List will be undertaken for candidates who previously worked in schools in the UK. Elac Study Vacations request you sign up to the DBS Update Service within 2 weeks of receiving the DBS Check. Elac Study Vacations requires all non-UK nationals and UK Nationals currently working abroad to provide a Police Check from the current country they are resident in, and ideally from any other countries you have worked previously. Employment is conditional on receipt of original certificates of any qualifications stated in application and of at least two satisfactory proof of identity documents (passport, driving licence, birth certificate, bank statements & utility bills) as well as the original copy of the DBS and Police check (if applicable). This contract is subject to satisfactory reference checks. Please note: It is a criminal offence for any person who is barred from working with children, to attempt to apply for a position at Elac.
