About the people and their home
We at Victoria House make things happen by developing our daily living skills. Every bit of support from staff is appreciated as we strive for independence. As a family we enjoy being an active part of the community. On a weekly basis we participate in various activities ranging from volunteering for the local cancer research / children's charity to attending the gym, library, cinema, bowling, day centre and our local pubs. We take pride in self-care by attending the salon on a weekly basis, visiting the GP bi-weekly, participating in aromatherapy and making room for much needed sensory time. Our families are our core support, and we love them very much so, as part of your support, staying in contact and remembering birthdays and important dates will be very much appreciated. In addition, we would very much value someone who supports our spiritual needs by coming up with great ideas to celebrate our religious holidays as well as supporting us twice a week to attend service. Birthday parties, Christmas and going on holidays are our favourite times of the year so please be brave with your ideas and be willing to take positive risks with us.
About you
Although it would be beneficial to have some experience of healthcare work, it isn't absolutely necessary as we provide full training. As long as you're passionate, hard-working and empathetic, you'll fit right in.
Join the team today and begin sharing moments and shaping lives.
