Surveyor - Associate Director - Residential Valuation

An established and well-regarded property consultancy is seeking a Residential Surveyor to join its London-based Valuation & Advisory team. Applications are welcomed from Surveyors through to Associate Director level. Candidates who are close to completing their APC will also be considered. This role focuses on delivering high-quality valuation and advisory work across individual residential assets. The team specialises in single houses and apartments, small residential investment buildings, and other one-off residential instructions. The majority of work comprises loan security valuations, alongside advisory instructions for acquisition, tax, accounts, and internal decision-making purposes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected valuation team with a strong client base and consistent workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake valuations of individual residential properties including flats, houses and small investment blocks for a range of purposes (lending, acquisition, tax, accounts and internal reporting).

Carry out detailed property inspections, including measurements, photography and collection of relevant site and tenure information.

Analyse comparable evidence and local market data to support valuation conclusions.

Prepare clear, accurate and well-reasoned valuation reports in accordance with RICS standards.

Manage multiple instructions simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.

Maintain and develop strong client relationships to support repeat business.

Ensure compliance with RICS Valuation

Global Standards (Red Book) and internal quality procedures.

Maintain complete, auditable and compliant case files.

Keep up to date with residential market trends across London and the South East.

Candidate Profile

MRICS qualified (or APC close to completion).

Experience in residential valuation.

Strong understanding of the London and South East residential markets.

Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.

High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.

Confident managing multiple smaller instructions concurrently.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and valuation databases.
